Watching on Satellite

I watch EarthTV via DTV on HD widescreen channel 267. All of the content is letterboxed and there is no way with the DTV or TV controls to stretch the image vertically to fill the screen. This causes horizontal black bars at top and bottom, makes circles in the video image to become ovals and people

Both of my 4K Firesticks display No network or internet connection with an orange circle with an exclamation in it. Also in the lower right there is 8000 displayed. I’ve cleared cache and data. I’ve even deleted and reinstalled the app and it still comes up with the same error.
